Nearly two hours passed by and they STILL haven't charged my card, so I called and thankfully it was a new shift so I spoke with Ceairra, who was very helpful. I ended up having to call the Marriott customer service and spoke to two different people - the last one I spoke to called the hotel herself while I was on hold, and then came back on the line and said they were charging my card now, so that way there wouldn't be any issue when the other 2 guests arrive before me. All I wanted them to do is charge my card but they told me they couldn't charge it unless I was there in person (what's the point of purchasing a pre-paid room then?). I talked to two different front desk employees named Shaun and Myiesha (both claimed to be managers) and neither were helpful. Strangely enough, despite buying pre-paid rooms, my card not charged, so I called them today. I purchased a pre-paid room because I wanted it to be fully paid for PRIOR to the 3 of us arriving, since my two coworkers would have been arriving several hours before me, and I didn't want them to have any issues checking in or being asked to pay for the room. I had a reservation to check in tomorrow - I booked 3 rooms since I was paying for a couple of my coworkers. The customer service I received today was beyond poor. On check out day, we left at 6am which was to early for the shuttle or breakfast. She was very stressed as she was the only person working breakfast and the hotel was fully occupied with families. Breakfast was a massive fail! All my son wanted was waffles and the waffle machine was broken. Slept fine with the help of the AC unit blocking out the planes. We accepted them and glad we did since there weren't sheets in the room. But he offered to get us sheets before we went to the room. I asked if there were sheets in the room. Back into the elevator and back to the desk with my overtired son in tow. Got that sorted and went to our 3rd floor room to find it was a King and my reservation was for 2 queens. Somehow our reservation had been canceled (it showed on the app before we departed DC at 9pm). Not their fault, but an Uber was $30 for the 4 minute ride. Well our incoming flight was delayed and we arrived after the shuttle stopped running. We knew we'd arrive late and leave early so staying by the airport would save us on Ubers since the hotel had a free shuttle. We stayed two nights while visiting family in the area.
